Action

We believe that the voices of Oakland students, parents, teachers, principals, and other school and education professionals must be amplified so that our elected leaders will make education their top priority and ensure that our public schools have the resources and tools to ensure college, career, and life readiness for all students.

In addition to learning about our issues or volunteering with one of our issue groups, there are three actions you can take right now:

• Endorse the Declaration of Community Beliefs and Visions for Oakland Public Schools
• Keep up with our Board Agenda watch and participate in bi-monthly OUSD board meetings
• Put students first and deepen the reforms by organizing in your community
